I hate writing in all caps, and I never write reviews, but this game is so disrespectful to the player I find myself compelled to say something.
If you, like I, are looking for some fun board games that you will mostly play against the games AI (the "computer")... you are going to get very, very mad within 3-4 games. The reason is that the game was clearly designed to make it nigh impossible to win in single player mode. Have you ever played one of those games where you get awful cards, bad rolls of the dice, and seem like you just cant seem to keep up with the computer players that magically are having better luck... game, after game, after game? Well, that is Monopoly: World Edition.
You will watch the computer players continually land on unowned property, while you continually land on their and pay them money so they can continue to get ahead of you while youre making no headway. You will watch the computer players repeatedly roll doubles, allowing them to move more than you, and youll never roll doubles at all. The "Here And Now" cards that allow you to take actions against other players, or protect you from the same? Yeah, they get the good ones, you get the awful ones. Theyll take the property you buy, you wont be able to stop it, and when you try to do the same to them... theyll stop you.
Heres the thing: as others have pointed out, this game only lets you play one game per day, unless you are willing to fork over $5.99 for the ability to play more than one game. My guess is that they have the computer opponents so hard to make you want to play one more game--surely that time youll finally win, right?! Wrong. They just want your money, and then youll be stuck with a game that makes you want to throw your iPhone against the wall. I almost did so a bit ago. This review is my catharsis.
Also: no pass and play. Seriously? If you are looking to play with other people you know that also have the app, then sure, its worth it. But that is the only circumstances under which this game should be downloaded.
Im going to ask for a refund of my money, although I doubt that I will get it.
